In January 2023, the company secured $2 million in pre-seed funding led by Borderless Capital, with participation from Algorand Foundation, Outliers Fund, Shima Capital, New Moon Ventures, and NxGen.

Quantum Temple's mission is to facilitate equitable exchanges between NFT collectors and ancestral communities, ensuring the protection and perpetuation of global cultural knowledge, traditions, and art forms.

Their primary offerings include a decentralized platform that documents and funds expressions of cultural heritage through digital, physical, and experiential NFTs, targeting conscious collectors and cultural enthusiasts.

Key competitors in this space include NFT media companies like Yuga Labs, LUDEX, and ALT; however, Quantum Temple differentiates itself by focusing on cultural preservation and fostering direct connections between collectors and ancestral communities.

When the founder approached me, they sought a founding marketer to build a waitlist campaign ahead of a wider go-to-market NFT series launch, aiming to generate anticipation and engagement within their target audience.

Scope

As the first Head of Marketing for Quantum Temple, I collaborated with the founding team to establish the company's marketing function, manage a multidisciplinary team, and deliver a comprehensive go-to-market strategy that drove initial user acquisition and product launch success. Over the course of our engagement, we built a robust foundation for growth and brand positioning.

Month 1-2: Foundation and Strategy Development


  • Developed product marketing messaging and a persona strategy tailored to Quantum Temple's target audiences.

  • Formulated a go-to-market strategy that included building an initial waitlist and executing a product cross-channel launch across blog, social, lifecycle, and paid marketing.

  • Created long-form content assets, including landing pages, a litepaper, and blog articles, to educate and engage prospective users.

Month 3-4: Paid Acquisition and Lifecycle Marketing Execution


  • Tracked acquisition and lifecycle events using Segment to ensure data-driven insights and optimization.

  • Designed lead nurturing and activation email sequences via customer.io to convert subscribers into active users.

  • Hired and managed a trusted performance marketing partner to create and launch Meta Ads campaigns to grow the waitlist and drive brand awareness.

Month 5-6: Content and partnership initiatives


  • Produced engaging short-form content for Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) in collaboration with the design team.

  • Created a partnership program and assets to collaborate with Web3 wallet providers, NFT communities, and key travel influencers.

  • Developed an outbound strategy to acquire Web3 Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) on X, expanding the company’s network and influence.

This strategic collaboration resulted in a strong marketing foundation, a successful product launch, and an initial user base, positioning Quantum Temple for sustained growth and recognition in the Web3 space.
